Celebrating PHOTOGRAPHY @ 175

On the 19th August, 1839 in Paris –France, the Art and Science of Photography was formally announced as invented. We celebrate that day yearly as ‘World Photography Day’. As witnessed for 175 years, Photography is found in all walks of life and is continuously developing, offering excellent and amazing results in recording moment – even moments not seen by the human eyes!

World Photography Day is about celebrating the ability we have to communicate though this powerful visual medium. A photograph has the power to tell stories, freeze memories, inspire generations, initiate change and like the common saying “a picture is worth more than a thousand words”.

The 2014 World Photography Day is a special edition packaged to celebrate the 175th year anniversary of photography with the theme; “The Role of Photography in National Development”. We request you all to participate with your friends.
